Now we've all heard of gyro stabilization for cameras as it relates to aerial footage, but what if you could take that same stability and put it on virtually any type of transportation and get the same result? That is where the LSG-2 pulls ahead of the pack as a functional workhorse. Running vehicle footage for a chase scene? Yep. Wanna follow a fishing boat through the marshes? Got it. How about a herd of cattle on the move across a pasture? I could do this all day. Take a look at some of the ways we've put 'er to good use and your mind will go crazy thinking of all the ways you could use our mount. 

The footprint of the mount is 12 in. x 17 in. and is 27 in. high without camera. It has panning capabilities, rotating on the round steel plate and the camera can be 'rolled' forward and backward on the geared mounting block for tilting.

There are two military-grade KS-12 Kenyon Labs Gyros that are capable of supporting camera weights of up to 40 lbs. and they adjust accordingly for the camera they are supporting.

Aerial Director of Photgraphy, Judd Bares, can deliver stunning results using the Aerial Exposures LSG-2 with Dual KS-12 Kenyon Labs Gyros. This mount provides stabilization for cameras up to 40 pounds, and the incredible stability of this sidemount system, combined with pilot expertise, makes forward facing shots possible. This is the largest stabilization system that can be set up in a helicopter without requiring STC Certification. 

 

CAMERA TYPES: RED, ARRI Alexa, SONY F-950, Canon 5D Mark II, Panasonic Varicam, and most other Broadcast-standard cameras are supported by this gyro stabilized mount.

 

HELICOPTER REQUIREMENTS: 4 seat ship. Works with Robinson R44, MD500, Schweizer 300, Bell Jet and Long Ranger and others. 

 

OTHER PLATFORMS: Trucks, Camera Cars/Trucks, Boats, ATV's,

Rates include:

  • Mount delivered to your location within 100 mile radius (standard mileage rates apply beyond 100 miles)
  • SET-UP of mount in helicopter of your choice.
  • Configuring mount for your camera
  • Director of Photography using your camera
  • All pre-flight consultation with Director/Producer/Pilot including flight plan coordination
  • All in-flight coordination with Director/Producer/Pilot
  • Up to two (2) monitors for Director/Producer and/or Pilot
  • No Helicopter? Bravo Aerial can coordinate with partnering aerial support companies closest to location. Helicopter contracted will be industry-minimum according to flight plan. Helicopter rental and fuel rates vary by provider and are IN ADDITION to fee paid for Bravo Aerial services.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

  • For shoots or pre-production requiring overnight stay, purchaser agrees to furnish accommodations and $40 per diem
  • Pre-Production/Location Scouting is $85/Hr at your studio and/or location (mileage rates are same as above)
